I Built the Daycare I Wished I Could Find
My name is Dolores Maldonado. I've been a licensed home daycare provider in Corona since 2011 — 15 years of caring for children ages 0 to 12, right here in my home.
I didn't open a daycare because it was trendy. I opened it because I was a working mom who needed care I could actually trust — and I couldn't find it.
Every place I toured felt like a factory. Too many kids. Too few adults. No one who knew my child's name by the end of the first week.
So I became what I was looking for.
I got licensed by the state of California. I built a structured, bilingual program. I created a home where children ages 0 to 12 learn, play, eat well, and — most importantly — feel completely safe.
Fifteen years later, I've cared for over 700 children. Parents who started with me as new moms now bring me their second and third babies. Some of my original children come back to visit.
